Liftgate pocket...either PN 15135441 or PN 25833680

Looking for a liftgate pocket...preferably with no chrome. I've got an '05 with PN 15135441 (the pocket with the license plate mount and lights) but the pull handle is broke, and you can't just buy the handle from GM.

I'm open for just buying the handle (preferred) or the whole pocket if someone's got one lying around. If I've gotta go with replacing the whole pocket I would actually rather pick up PN 25833680 (the pocket WITHOUT the license plate mount and light) which apparently became the de facto standard for all H2 in '06 when the internal tire carrier got deleted as an option. I can grab PN 25833680 new for $170.00...which isn't too bad; but thought I'd post up to see what might be lying in someones garage first.

I'm assuming those are the ones you've already found. Those are all I've really ever seen. I stalk ebay for H2 parts and what not multiple times a day along with craigslist alerts on my phone when new adds pop up.

I find it strange that you can't replace just the handle since you can buy aftermarket billet handles. There must be some way to replace it. I guess you could always buy a billet handle and have it PC'ed black or spray it black yourself.

Yeah...saw those on ebay, and the damn billet handles are as much as the whole pocket in some cases.

I've been thinking about just rigging it temporarily and then maybe making a blank panel with a handle and just having it PCed.

That is a possibility. There was a billet pocket on ebay for a while but dirt cheap. I almost bought it just to buy it but I haven't seen it in a while. Good luck, hopefully someone else chimes in!

Kids keep yanking on the pivot side of the handle vs the side that moves. I plastic welded the handle mounts, now the pocket part stated cracking. I fiber glassed that bad boy this past weekend.

I also have screwed the pocket from the outside cause all the tabs have been broken off. Next time I am removing the handle and putting a solenoid in there wired to aux output on my alarm to save the repair hassle.

I just went the quick route and replaced it with the 06-up pocket (25833680) from ebay...$179 and done.
