I would like to add a chrome billet mini grill, but I do not like the way they are suppose to mount. Has anyone flush mounted their mini grill by cutting out the plastic one?

How can this be done and lok like a professional install, versus mounting it over the top of the plastic like their instructions say?

That is how I want to mount the grill. I have a different grill in mind though
