I just got u-steps and thought hard about where to put them when not in use. You can actually fit them under the back seat on the drivers side if you stack them right and they fit perfectly and sung. I'm kinda happy about this because now I don't have to drag them into my house or leave them rattling around in the back of the H2 offroad.

Take out the retaining clip and unscrew the bolt. They then slide right off. It takes about 30 seconds per step to take them off.

Thank you H2 DADDY .... how about putting them back on ? Do they have to go in the same place that I take them off from ??? Should I label them ???

Thanks again,

Michael

Actually the easiest way is to use the allen wrench that came with the steps (it should be in the bag with the airhose). I tried loosening them by hand the first tim e, but they were on too tight to budge. It doesn't matter where you put them on, they are all the same

Mine doesn't have allen wrench bolts, just a big knob on one end of the bolts. They are not location specific. I have found the easiest way to get them back on is to lie on your back and put your head under the truck. This way you can see both pins on the steps and both holes on the truck's mounting brackets.

The hole in the center of the Knob houses the allen head socket. At the house I use my air ratchet the allen adapter to remove quickly.
