I remember that...keep us posted on the way it works in the snow. I know the early ones cracked windshields. So keep us posted.

I just hit my heated windshield switch. Works great in ice/snow.

Daveh2 11-27-2005 09:05 PM

Where did you end up mounting the on/off switch?

I just stuck it right beneath the rear wiper control, in the empty spot. i'm hoping to pick up the limited edition button and install that someday....

Daveh2 11-30-2005 03:43 AM

At the risk of being an idiot... What is the special edition button? - Did you just adhese it to the face of the door or rear mount it?

VTSTOMPER 12-01-2005 09:33 PM

Dave,

For 2006 Hummer released a H2 SUV/SUT with the hot shot installed. It is a limited ed...So I think doc was talking about getting that button from the stock GM parts bin! for that factory look and feel!

Vt Hummer 12-02-2005 09:59 AM

I called on that 2006 hot shot button. was told it was $127.00. Has any body else bought one? If so how much?

I was told Friday that the Button was not available without suppling Vin # from limited edition unit. Whats up with that the button might cost all of $5 if that!!!!!!!!

VTSTOMPER 12-04-2005 08:16 PM

get a vin off ebay!

DeBest 12-05-2005 11:10 AM

Does anyone know if there is any adjustment to the temperature on the heater so that there is no issue of potentially cracking the windshield in the cold weather?

DeBest 12-05-2005 11:12 AM

If the dealership wants $127.00 for just the button how much is the OEM unit complete. The link above is for an aftermarket unit.
