What's with the extensive use of (what seems to be) plain old electrical tape to add insulation to the wiring harness in the engine bay? Electrical tape does not handle heat well and gets brittle over time.

Either that or I have a unique wiring harness in my '05 H2 SUV!

thanks,

It is used to keep the wires together more than anything. GM and others do this...it is very common. You will also see plastic flex hose on wires.
