Does anyone make a beefier skidplate to replace the stock one made out of bars that is under the tranny?? I have bent it twice and it touches the exhaust which causes a sh**y vibarting sound. Plus, its a bitch to bend it back each time and I think mine is now weaker (tin can effect).
So far it has done its job though as I have no leaks or cracks in vital drivetrain components. I just want something a bit stronger. |

Do a search for UCP. There's been many threads on heavy duty skids. Rubber Duck seems to be the most popular.

Thanks man. Does the "rear UCP from Rubber Duck replace the stock tubular piece? (The one in thepic below
![]() http://www.rubberduck4x4.com/images/h2RearUCP.jpg Does anyone here have these, is so are they worth it? That front one looks tough as well, replaces the blingish giant H2 logo right? |
Yes and yes. They seem to be tough products.

Neil's (H20Guy) stuff is supposed to be available any time now. That would be another option. I searched for my thread on this which had some info but I think Jason deleted it. It must have been seen as competitive to forum sponsors or something. The thread was titled "It's time to put on some protection...".

Ill wait till H20 gets his stuff out there before I buy. Phil, thanks for the recovery gear that came w/ my warn light bar!!!

You could allways build your own. I got tired of the same problem with the T-case, this was my soultion. It may not be pretty (thats in the eye of the beholder) but it's very tough

That looks good. I keep bending mine right there by the exhaust and tranny pan. I dont want to fubar my tranny nor go easy on it at the trails!
|
My mistake I read that wrong, I thought you were talking about the T-case
![]() That's a killer set up for the trans and sliders Alec but it looks like it leaves the T-case pretty vulnerable to a rock strike. Nothing a piece of 1/4 inch plate wouldn't fix ![]() |

I like H20's setup. I have part of this setup (the mid section) and it works, trust me I am good at testing this stuff ![]() ![]() ![]() |
