9" monitor is not too big and not too small for the rear visibility. This installation method is popular in Japan, and it normally used for vehicles which have 3rd seat because you can see the same monitor from both seats, 2nd and 3rd. If you put a monitor on the head rest, you could not watch it from 3rd seat.
