Check the TrailDuty.com. Several options there

I believe the line on the DRTY winch is Amsteel Blue

Equal to Warn's line. Way better on price.

Better, stronger and comparably priced.

Thanks everyone for the info!

I can see an extra benny having this to reduce weight for the cradle mount winches

VTSTOMPER 02-21-2006 12:38 AM

Mostly the benny is for when it fails it will not come back at you to slice and dice. I put a sand bag on the line when it is in use...

DRTYFN 02-21-2006 12:46 AM

There's no chance of injury from snap back with synthetic line. There's no stored kinetic energy in the synthetic.

VTSTOMPER 02-21-2006 12:54 AM

Exactly! Hey DRTY - Do you put weight on the line?

KenP 02-21-2006 04:29 AM

When in Moab, a handy towel, shirt, or jacket was still thrown over the line. No need to take chances.

ROX 02-23-2006 01:22 AM

I like the pretty blue line, it matches the Stealth Gray perfectly!

ROX 02-23-2006 01:25 AM

OH, and it works really well and is safer.
