First off, I love this thing and it's fun to drive. But at just over 2,000 miles and 7 weeks old. I have a leaking pinon seal, a real bad clunk under take off from a red light, a little squeaking noise from the pinon or driveshaft under real slow speeds (sounds like bad needle bearings in a u-joint), then it's real cold out the drives window squeak going up. Has anyone else had any of these problems with theirs?? And it's a 2006 that was brand new then I bought it. Thanks for any input, I'm calling the dealer tomorrow.

I think mine tends to clunk during take off. I assumed this was normal. It doesn't affect enything else and no one else notices. It's fairly minor. No other problems. Should I get it checked out?

There is a TSB on this. Your dealer should know about it.

I have an 05 with 15,000 miles on it. It has never given a clunk on take off. It should be fixed under warranty. If you dealer doens't know about the TSB, you should search this part of the forum for the information.

Is this the one?:
Clunk, Bump or Squawk when Vehicle Comes to Complete Stop or Accelerating from Complete Stop or Accelerating from Complete Stop (Replace Rear Drive Shaft Nickel-Plated Slip Yoke) #01-04-17-004B - (Jan 5, 2005)

I'm going to play around with mine a little to see when it happens. I'm not really sure if I have what's in the TSB. Is it possible that a TSB would come out in January '05, and Hummer would still be installing the defective part on new vehicles more than a year later (mine is an 06 bought new in Feb.)?

Well it's going in tomorrow morining to the dealer. He sounded like he was shocked on the leaking with the clunking. He told me that he hasn't seen this problem seen last years model, just my luck!

My 06' was doing it for a while and it finally stopped when temps got warmer. I was not too worried about it. It does not hurt anything and was planning on mentioning to dealer to fix under warrany - next time it was in for something else. Thus does not warrant leaving my H2 at dealer just for that issue alone.

Ok, here's the deal so far. The clunking is the lower rear control arms, Bad bushings. The dealer is replacing all the arms with new ones. The drivers window problem is the motor and they replaced it. It sure feels good dealing with a dealer that cares if your happy with your truck.

Ok here's what they did Replaced all rear control arms, drivers window motor, pinon seals, adjusted the parking brake as they were draging, also fix the front trialer hitch ( couldn't drop the pin in from the top, holes didn't line up). And while they repaired my H2 I drove around in a new Cadilac they put me in. They were great at the dealer, Suburban Hummer in Troy MI.
