Has anyone who has upgraded their truck with bigger rims know if it has raised their truck hight also? I'm talking about those who have added 18-20" rims but have kept the stock suspension. I want to add new rims but I want to keep my truck in the garage to protect against the elements... especially the most dangerous element... the "criminal" element
If someone could post in with their before/after measurements with upgrade info such as tire and rim size. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you |

Since no one's posting maybe I'm asking the wrong question.
If I put 20" wheels with 37" tires with the stock suspension will it raise my truck hight only 2" since the stock tires are 35"? |
It would onl raise it by about 1.25" because this is 1/2 of the overall height change. 37" would be the overall height.
Stock tires are 34.5" tall, so 37-34.5 = 2.5/2 = 1.25" The rims are irrelevant, its the heighth of the tire... |
CsRkH2,
Thanks, when I had my other truck and added larger rims i had to lower it about 2" and i couldn't remember if it was only to eliminate the wheel gap or making it fit in my garage. thanks again |
The tires I'm getting is about 35.5", not sure about 37".
