If I recall correctly, the factory sticker said that North American content in the H3 was around 85%. That doesn't leave much for non-NA mechanical components.

Heh Thanks Every one for those most excellent replies... Learnig quite a bit from all of you.

Just waiten to gander at the 2007 H3's and then get my check book out.. Yeah.. I'm Stooked..!!!

How many of you bought your Hummer H3 With out looking at it or driving in the flesh..?

I stood next to one at a dealers lot and looked in the window. That's as far as I have gotten. Not many H3 Dealers down here.

See this is the part I'm gona hate... I'll have to go to a dealer who won't cut the price just to try and test drive the H3. I'll have to play the roll like i'm interested in buying form him.

I already have printed out a list of dealers from a post that I made here a few eeks back and gotten replies as to what dealers to try.

Or how about I believe all of you when you say how great the H3 is and just order it over the phone from a wheeler dealer....dealer and have him deliver it like a Pizza...

I placed my order the day I saw the first pic back in March. Long story short I don't know that my response counts since I had to cancel that order and have not gotten my H3 yet but that's what I did. Didn't even get to see one until 3 months later

Sure your response counts...That's probably what I'm gonna have to do. Or..Plan B is to stop someone in the parking lot when I see one somewhere.. and get friendly with he or she and maybe I can go for a ride in the right hand seat ..

But I will buy one weather or not I sit in it or not ... Because .. I only buy GM...!!!!

Further Info....
Transmission made in Toledo OH, or Romulus MI. Front/rear axles made in Detroit by AAM (American Axle).
Transfer cases are manufactured by Borg Warner (4493 standard/4494 off-road); can't say where they are made, but most likely in one of their US Plants.
