Very true, but if it is the last resort (that or walking a few hundred miles), the sensor is only about $50.00.
(Besides, fix-a-flat also causes out of balance issues, but again, there are times it might be necessary.)

Also, for the record you CAN use Tire Jack made by Prestone. AutoZone sells it. It is acrylic based and wont mess up your tires and or sensors.

Have you tried it? I have to say fix-a-flat works for emergencies. I have been able to plug while on vehicle and not use the fix-a-flat in many year, but in case of an emergency, I would not worry about a $50.00 sensor. However if this stuff works as good, and does not mess up a sensor, this old guy might prefer to use this than lay on the ground and plug a tire.

I had the sensors installed and the monitoring option turned on in the PCM with a Tech-2. So i was able to get off the road before I went flat and I always kept 2-3 bottles of the Tire Jack in my rear compartment.

Good information, I have to get a couple cans.
Never had a flat in any of my Vettes, and never ran the run-flats; except from the dealer to the tire store.
