There seems to be no good solutions to mount these unless you have a roof rack. Here is my solution for mounting a Hi-Lift Jack. I designed some simple plates, then used part of the mounting hardware from Hi-Jack's 4xRAC kit. This requires absolutely no drilling required and is rock solid.

Here's a close up.

Welcome to the forum and that's a nice looking mod you made. Only suggestion would be to paint the jack black. But may I ask just what you use that jack for?

Hi-Lift actually makes a black one but it is a little cheaper version and not rated to be as durable. Personally I kind of like the red. You can use these for many purposes including jacking up your truck body, jacking a tire out of mud/sand, hand winching, and even as an expander, like a fireman's "Jaws of Life". This one is rated at 7000 lbs (3 1/2 tons) of lift. There are lots of attachments available.
Personally, I haven't had to use it yet, but I just got it about a month ago. |
It looks great thanks for posting.

I mounted mine to the brush guard up front where the front grill off-road lights mount...winch fits in just underneath. Now, I just can't ever open the hood!

I'd like to see how that looks, can you post a picture of it?
