well after looking around at various auto parts shops and on the internet i finally found the lights i had in mind for the rear. i found them on superbrightleds.com. well here are the series of install pics. let me know what you think.

Thats what I talking about a man who is not scared of a few holes in the sheet metal. It pays off with a quality install. Job well done!

thanks again guys. the lights were $5.95 each plus a few $$ for shipping. a few screws some wire and connectors so not much at all. took me and our helicopter mechanic about 2 hours to finish.
