Does anyone know if it is possible to add a driver side hand hold, similar to the one on the passenger side? I really miss dirivng in my comfortable driving position with my hand holding the handle, especially given the high window sills.

It would help climbing it too. I'm surprised they didn't put one above the door.

Ah, you mean the "Oh $hit" handle.

I know, I thought they would have one there. The back seats have 2 a pop!

It's not just H3s... Every car I have ever owned was missing a driver side 'Oh $hit!' handle... that never made sense to me.

It Must be a GM thing my first car an 85 S10 Blazer did not have one either. My cheapie kia commuter bug I drive around town has one. ow much can it cost?

$800.00 Kia has one
$35,000 H3 does not.

Its simple, the driver is suppose to have both handles on the wheel. Not driving and going Oh S--t, its about making the hole shot!! If the driver needs a Oh S--t Handle. Whats he going to do or say Oh, S-it!!!

I think GM thinks you should have your hands on the wheel in an OH&%$#!! situation, instead of being tempted to put your hand up in the air.

Its kinda like the old benz thinks there should be no radio or a realy junk one the thought you should not be hearing anything but road noise

- same as "No Vanity Mirror" on the driver side, but who cares anyway.....

evomind 10-13-2005 04:06 PM

ok...the frivers hands should be on the wheel while driving...
but arent those really used for ease of entry?
most people grab them when stepping up into their tal suvs....
i dont side with gm on this one, and im not lol
lol....

They're meant to be used for off-roading. You hold the wheel, they hold onto whatever they can.
