I went a little over 4k miles before changing.. since i do my own oil changes i didn't want to go too long past the recommended oil change schedule in fear of warranty issues.. that's jus' me tho'

Hummer service manager was glad when i walked in with Royal Purple engine oil and tranny fluid. Best choice You could make. I do not know about that as everyone has a preference. But, I did not chnage to royal to extend oil chnages but, increase protection with the power I'm running. I have heard going to 5000 miles with a good syn. is not a big deal I have talked to some who are not off roaders who go 10,000 miles and have reports from their ser. guys the oil stil looked good. I just go buy the normal oil change and figure it is allot cheaper than a new engine.
