No "setup" is really necessary. What, specifically, are you trying to do?
And how about posting a picture of that new truck? What color and package did you get? |
Before this goes any further . . .
Is your nav DVD in the unit? Is the unit turned on? Did you press the NAV button? |
i dont have a picture yet. the color is a silvery blue.the nav came included. i cant seem to program my home address.i live in vancouver canada so i set the zone to 8. every time i try to put in a local address it lists the addresses from the states' when i try to search by telephone number it wont accept all the digits.anybody here living in vancouver?
|
Sounds like you're doing the right things.
Maybe the DVD doesn't contain info for your neighborhood? Entirely possible if you live in a new part of town or a neighborhood that's secluded/private. How about trying to input the address of a prominent, older building in town? That'll at least give you some indication of whether or not the unit is functioning at all. |
i will try that.when you search by phone number do enter the area code first and do you use dashes?
|
Area code then number, yes. No dashes, no spaces.

Although I don't have nav...this may also help. Look up your Lat/Long using Google Maps, Terraserver, Topozone, or whatever you are comfortable with online. Input that Lat/Long as "home". Hope that helps!

You can look up every Starbucks in North America but waypoints ain't gonna happen. |
