The first Outdoor event for 2005 was held at the Chain Ranch, with all H2 Club members in attendance.

Thanks to YellowH2 for talking up the club. A special thanks to Battlebugs for promoting the club and "taking the hill". It was very inspirational! Harley showed us that all is required to take the hill in an H1 is the proper inspirational music!

This time out we had a much bigger turnout than ever before, and many more H1's joined us. There were a few H1 Alpha's, many H2's (yellow was the predominant color this time), and one H3. The dealership brought out a few of their rigs and Chain Ranch provided the trail guides (White H2 & an H2 SUT).

Cody & Cody, hosts of their own outdoor TV show led the group of more than 20 Hummers from OkC to the Ranch and recorded video of the event.

DVDs will be available in the near future as well as appear on their television show. See their website for further details:

Thanks Guys!

Thanks to Bob Moore & the Chain Ranch for putting together another excellent Hummer Happening!

Prepare yourselves for the next outdoor Hummer Happening to be either at the Chain Ranch or the Five Oaks Ranch (see forum for photos of past events) in the fall, the local Hummer Club name change, meeting schedule and our first event sometime this summer.

I sent a THANK YOU note to Cody & Cody on behalf of the H2 Club....just thought I should share the reply:

"Cody and I had a blast! You guys and gals drove those Hummers great! We got some fantastic footage. We'll let you know when it is ready.

Until next time........On the Water......In the Woods......

It was actually green...

I will have to find the same spot (manually) on the 2003 color aerials at work tomorrow. It will be a much better image than that which is generally available through the map/aerial websites found online.

If anyone was using a GPS and created a waypoint/route file, I would like to have access to that to get our route at the ranch.

I also wondered if any of the hills/crossings/other features had names....that was the first time I had heard of the "lovers leap" story, and I have been there every time that the dealership held events there.

I just received word that the DVD from the event is DONE!!!! I will post more tomorrow once I find out all the particulars.

Highlights will appear on their 1/2 hour TV show very soon, so buzz me if you would like to be notified when it will air.

RasterMaster 07-08-2005 03:12 PM

I just got off the phone with Steve (the guy who recorded the video) with Cody & Cody. He stated the highlights will air next weekend or the following weekend on thier TV show.

As far as the full-length DVD goes, he stated there is a $15 charge to obtain a DVD from them to cover their costs involved. I will meet with him tomorrow to pick up one DVD and will speak to him about how others who are interested can obtain a copy.

All of this I will discuss at our Club meeting (chat room - time?) this evening.
