i have the metra gmos adapter in my truck and occasionally it will leave the radio on when i get out of truck.and sometimes ill start the truck and the radio wont power up .i dont know if i have a bad metra unit ? did this ever happen to anyone with the soundgate adapter?
seems people feel soundgate is a better unit.

I have a 2005 H2 and I am currently in the process of upgrading my stereo system.. I am using Soundgate's Digistar and my OnStar is currently inoperable.. Soundgate has E-mailed me and confirmed that their is a problem with their Digistar adapter and 2005 H2s(they told me that GM might have changed something"?" ).. it's been over 2months and I'm still waiting.

I'm using a Peripheral GMAH24B and GMAHCM to interface from an Eclipse navi headunit to the factory Bose amp in a 2004 H2 with no problems. I'm not using Onstar though so I can't comment on if there are any issues with Onstar use.
I first tried a Soundgate Digistar-B but found out that it isn't compatible with my 2004 and the work arround is to hack a Digistar, XR4 and extra speaker for chimes together. I didn't like the sound of this so went with the Peripheral interface instead. There's a thread here which details my problems:
