I was wondering those of you who have a lot of miles on your H2 (50,000+). What problems have you seen? Who uses there H2 everyday?

I use mine everyday, 5700 miles since 2/10/05 and I had 20,000 + miles in about 18 months on my '03......only 1 major problem with each.......speedometer had to be replaced 2x in the '03 and the '05 ive had problems with the 1 and 8 cylinders mis-firing

CBR_Raven 05-18-2005 03:25 PM

I have around 31,000 on my '03 H2. I use it pretty much everyday.

DRTYFN 05-18-2005 03:30 PM

I put 17,000 miles on my first H2, 48K+ so far on this '03. Funny thing is that there's only 6627 miles on the '04 745Li(which is getting sold because I HATE iDrive!!!).
Plus, I've got a 7year/100K mile extended warranty on this one.

4churchill 05-18-2005 03:46 PM

Drty...iDrive is the worst, I feel you on that....I've wanted a 745Li for a while but would never consider it b/c of the iDrive. The 745 is pretty soft so your best bet is to find an unsuspecting rich guy to buy it :d

I have 47,800 on mine and have had both rear window motors replaced, 2 brake boosters, 2 power steering pumps, both speed sensors, water pump leaks anti-freeze, front diff. leaks, 2 catylatic converters,2 hood support cables (inside), tachometer, both step bars (do to rust)but thats it.

20,000 miles and only a water pump at this point.

Thanks for the warranty, huh? No problems here on the '03 with 14.5k except for my passenger side mirror isn't working right. It was fine until the last detail at the DEALER! Maybe I should start a thread on what could be wrong with the mirror retracting.

I should clarify, no dealer or HUMMER caused problems. All of mine are self-inflicted.

40k driver windows fell off hinge and shattered behind the door. Hummmm same thing happen on my BMW one year later. I guess I slam the door kinda hard

31K+ I have been fairly lucky so far Original headliner had to be replaced it did not fit great from day one, other then that just a couple minor sensors (drivers seat & Transmission)

I have 24k on my 03 with a few problems. Leaking front roof lights (had to have all the carpeting replaced) and rear hatch shocks had to be replaced.

Daily driver since January '03.....just topped 41K miles. Would that be considered high?

V10MOJO2TOW 05-20-2005 12:47 AM

bought it in november 2004; 57K on it so far. almost all towing car to races. getting new one this year, good timing too, finally they got smart and gave an option for an interior color that looks good. it never ceases to amaze me how the eggheads that design vehicles come up with some of the worst combinations of colors and then they have a group of yesmen suckign ass to back the decisions up.

ratesguy 05-20-2005 04:52 PM

52,00 miles since Oct. 02.Daily driver. I did have the instrument cluster replaced under warranty. Yesterday I was the victim of a smash and grab. Drivers side window cost 291$ Stolen wallet with all my credit cards and cash-priceless.

ratesguy 05-20-2005 04:52 PM

Oops! 52000 miles.

HOLY CRAP!!! From November 1st (conservative guess) through yesterday is 200 days, so that's an average of 285 miles per day!

I got mine in November 2004 as well, and thought I was doing badly with already having 13K on mine!

Dug 05-21-2005 11:29 PM

About 70,000 miles , on '03 . Has a few rattles and nuaunces but overall it tougher than heck. Has taken some good beatings and still runs real strong.
