SO I clean all the snow out of the bed of the truck, and then go to close the tailgate - well there is snow in the gap between the bed and the gate. No biggie - shut it and the snow will fall out - NOPE!

Shut it and the tailgate pops off into your arms! HOLY $HIT! I am glad I caught it before it smashed into the spare tire carrier!

I actually saw a tailgate fall off from an Avalanche unto the street as it was doing a turn. gotta be careful with those! It's a good thing you only had a close call.
