Ok, no more lift! After that mess, it's back to stock height. THANK YOU 4WHEEL PARTS DENVER! These guys too great care of me.

The torsion bars are back to stock now too. The tire just barely touches the swaybar at full lock on DR SD only in reverse only.

The spare still fits with room to spare.

Get it? Room to spare?

hmrlvr 12-24-2005 10:42 PM

Still looks good to me. Thanks for the update.

MarK M 12-24-2005 10:57 PM

wheres the backup camera located?

Humm3r 12-24-2005 10:57 PM

Timgco....do you know that actual tire measurements? They don't have the tire specs on procomptires.com.

Thanks

It's the same as a 35 12.50 16. It's not quite 35" though. The overall Diameter is 34.60 X 12.40. On paper the tire is exactly 1.77" larger in diameter and 1.18" in width wider.

Here's the link where I got the info from:
Tire Calculator

Humm3r 12-24-2005 11:37 PM

Thanks Timgco

Cool calculator, but the specs are different for each tire manufacturer. The only other 35" tires I see fitting are 315/75/r16 Nitto Terra Grapplers AT. They measure 34.5 x 12.32.

The Pro Comp AT's (not xtreme) 315/75's measure 34.7 x 12.8.

I guess the 315/75/r16 Toyo MT's are out of the question....they measure 34.9 x 12.9.

So far I've narrowed my choices down to three:

Nitto Terra Grapplers 315/75/r16 (Look 'much' better in person)
Toyo MT's 285/75/r16
BFG AT's 295/75/r16

BFG also has a 305 diameter tire. There is also a guy on here running Procomp X Terains and they fit without rubing.

Those are all great tires! The reason I went with these: they looked like they had some MT lugs on them but are siped. After running 37" BFG MT's on my SUT in the snow/ ice, I decided I was getting a siped tire or I was walking or driving in the ditch only!

Humm3r 12-25-2005 12:06 AM

Which tire would you go with....of the three?

StarsnBars 12-25-2005 12:11 AM

That is one sweet looking H3. 35's look perfect in a stock config. Thats quite a to do list. Maybe Santa will help. Thanks for posting the pics. Happy Holidays...

It really depends on what your intentions are for the truck. Off road? No off road? Moderate off road sometimes. Snow/ Ice?

Off Road: The Toyos would be my first choice. Do a Title search for Mark805. He has the Toyos on the stock rims on the 285. You'll find some pics there. (Search H3 Photo section)

Off Road/ on Road: BFG AT's are great.

I have never run the Nitto's. So I cannot comment on those.

I have had BFG AT's on quite a few of my trucks and they have done very well on road, off road, and snow/ ice.

I don't think you can really go wrong with any of them.

timgco , so the 35's if on 17x9 wheel with the 4.5" bs , would be out about 3-4" from yours on the stock wheel ?

If you are going for looks i personally think the Terra Grapplers are not good looking tires at all(it looks almost like a street tire to me and i prefer a more aggressive look). Im running the ProComp extremes as well but on an h2 and im running a 35x13.50-20. I wanted the toyo m/t's but couldnt find them anywhere in the nation. Maybe its because my sidewall is shorter, but on my tires the "sidewall lugs" seem a bit larger.

Humm3r 12-26-2005 03:50 AM

Nice H2. From online pics, the Nitto's don't look good at all. A friend of mine just put Nitto 35's on his F350 and they look really good. I'm still undecided, but I'm probably leaning more towards the Toyo MTs 33's. I want the 35's, but they're just too big with a stock set up. I don't like the side wall of the procomps, but am still considering them.

Humm3r 12-26-2005 03:53 AM

Thanks BTW

4churchill 12-26-2005 04:03 AM

I have the Nittos, and like them, but if I could do it again, I probably would get the Toyos
