Great story about a dumb@$$ owner and their brilliant idea of recovering a vehicle. I think they wanted to mimic the Jeep Commander commercial in the wintertime.

I'd love to say haha, look at the dumbass but you know what they say about people living in glass houses...

Been there, done that... (actually, did almost the same thing with a car through a river when I was like 17) Talk about being a dumbass.

That is classic, taking an incovienient situation and going down the wrong path to try to fix it.

VTSTOMPER 11-10-2005 11:22 PM

I have seen that before - not sure if it was here or not...but what a tool.

DennisAJC 11-10-2005 11:27 PM

Bish makes Asian wheelers look bad.

That kinda stuff usually happens to the Whiteys.

BTW. Who the fawk wheels in a business suit?

VTSTOMPER 11-10-2005 11:45 PM

I think that is a new thing - business suit wheelin'.

WHY would anyone decide to yank it through the damn pond. That has to be the most retarded thing I have ever heard of.

Yeah, no kidding. If my tuxedo isn't clean and pressed, I just stay home! A stinkin' business suit? What a loser.....

Funny, stupid, weird.

I have a stupid observation and questions.

In two of those shots (pic 3&4) the stuck jeep's front end can be seen pointing parallel with the slop the recovery jeep is up on.

question one, why is the recovery jeep up there to begin with?

1b: Why try and pull someone up a hill when there is nearly flat level ground in front of the stuck truck? Out the windshield to the right side of the slope there seams to be recovery ground?

question 2, how from being parallel with that slope did he end up nose down into a pond?

I don't get it?

And these guys (China) are in a race to become one of the next super powers in the world?

Screeper 11-11-2005 02:02 AM

The worst recovery ever.... Probably cheaper to risk it rolling on the dry side of the hill. I did managed that same "stuck" here in Florida on a canal bank. I got some shovels and spent the next day moving the hill with a friend. Eventually drove off. Damage was one bent rear drive shaft and one ego.

CslRkH2 11-11-2005 02:31 AM

I think it was all staged.

dochummer 11-11-2005 05:28 AM

KenP 11-11-2005 04:13 PM

That's funny.

DennisAJC 11-11-2005 04:26 PM

Since they were Jeepers, I was the one who suggested dragging it across the pond.

CO Hummer 11-11-2005 05:30 PM

At least they didn't break a tie rod.
