The christmas tree is still hanging in there.

It hasn't given up and died yet.

I think we'll see it at Moab...

I was thinking about the tree, while reading other posts earlier.

At least Hong is happy

walc 02-19-2006 10:59 PM

Does it hurt, when you shower with it?

shipbldr 02-19-2006 11:18 PM

Actually Walc... it makes me feel kinda of... strange... and my showers are also taking a lot longer...

It's not an asylum.

It's a "special place" with "free party drugs"

h2co-pilot 02-20-2006 01:33 AM

It is the Schiavo of trees.

That tub looks awfully familiar. Your wife is asian right?

deicustoms1 02-20-2006 02:24 AM

Is there a reason the tree is in the tub?!

VTSTOMPER 02-20-2006 02:41 AM

I must be missing the joke. Fill me in gang...

Ship,
What kind of tree is that? Frazier fir? Maybe you should try a Douglas next year. Guaranteed to die in two weeks.

The wife loves it and won't let him dump it!

shipbldr 02-20-2006 11:56 AM

Kenp wins the prize for most insider knowledge!

He has it exactly right. It's Hong's first Christmas. She arrived here in May...

We got the tree (like normal), decorated, celebrated, and then on Jan 1 I went to take it down.

You would have thought I was getting ready to fell a California Redwood to make patio funiture. (Which BTW is a waste... we can and should farm trees...)

Hong apparently enjoys the smell of the tree and wants to keep it around.

I may be forced to add a sunlamp as part of the life support system soon.

CampMaster 02-20-2006 01:23 PM

The good side is the pine sap has greatly reduced your chances of slipping in the shower.

VTSTOMPER 02-20-2006 07:56 PM

Thanks Ken!

I figured it was - but I had no idea why anyone would want to keep it this long! That is pretty wild!
