Denver has been pounded by snow. In the foothills we have over three feet our neighborhood. Rode the H2 for a 3-4 hours today. Some pix:

Great photos. Did you get more snow after you took these pictures? How well did your wipers handle this much snow?

Cheers

Got a ton more snow after the last message. We're up to 70 inches! We normally yet 90 inches in an entire year. I used Alex's trick of turning on defroster to 90 degrees and cracking a window. Works pretty well. Occasionally had to reach outside and smack the build up off the wipers. Check out how deep it is! The garage door is 84 inches high.

I have a Yellow. Now I know what it looks like blasted with snow.

Thanks.

That is unbelievable. Enjoy it wile it lasts.

I wish I was at Vail in the back bowls with my fat power board.

Cheers

Hey, that's my wiper trick. Just like Alec to go stealing that too. First the mud, then the hot tub idea, now the wiper trick. That's it, I've had it.

Adam - My apologies! I said Alex, but actually meant ADAM. It was your procedure that I used.

Hey CO Hummer & Adam in CO

I flew into Denver Monday night for business - As you know when I woke up Tuesday morning - what a shock - I had to go downtown to file some plan with City of Denver - what a trip. I was scheduled to leave Tuesday night from DIA - United Airlines told me Wednesday morning that I was scheduled to leave this Sunday and no earlier. I stayed at the Doubletree on Iliff and I225. The parking lot was solid 7 feet of snow - people (Guests) were shouting over food - not enought hotel staff - it was wild. My partner and I decised to chance a drive to Colorado Springs. The Hertz car we had was a Toyota Rav. We were lucky to get behind a snowplow on I25 and made it to Colorado Springs for a 6:00 pm flight to Dallas last night - I had to then flight to Tucson from Dallas - I was happy to get out of Denver - was wishing that I had my Hummer on that drive to Colorado Springs - but we made it. WHAT A SNOW I was looking for Hummers H@ as we drove - saw some National Guard Humvees on I25.

TB,
You were lucky to get out. Up here in Evergreen we ended up with 74 inches of snow. I tried to blast my H2 out the driveway, but no luck. Just keep getting high centered. Here's a picture of the neighbors helping by shovel it out!

Joe 03-20-2003 07:10 PM

wow, and i thought the 24 we got a few weeks back was impressive.

Do you have concerns about roof collapses out there. I can imagine when the snow starts to settle and melt it's going to way a ton, literally.

Keep safe!

Adam in CO 03-20-2003 11:58 PM

It did weigh a ton. A few of them. The news reporters say the average Denver driveway had 4000-5000 pounds of snow on it.
