When I got my H2 I also received 60 minutes of phone time on the OnStar cell phone in the truck. I am not interested in paying OnStar for more minutes but I loved how it was totally hands free and sounded great. Does anyone know of an adaptor that would allow you to hook up a normal cell phone (I have a motorola T720) to the microphone and stereo system in the truck? I wouldn't think it would be that tough, but I could be wrong. Thanks everyone!

To answer your question... NO.
My neighbour works for On-Star, I've went through this with him before.

You can buy a voice activated "hands free" cell phone to be mounted in your H2. I first had one installed in my Lexus RX300 and loved it so much that I knew I had to get one for the H2 when I got it. I have since traded in the 2000 RX300 after 3 years and 21,000 miles for the new Lexus GX470 SUV. Got the navigation system for that and I am transfering the voice activated hands free phone to it.

Attached is a photo of the Kyocera hands free phone in my H2. Visit the Kyocera web site and look up the hands free voice activate units. You buy the hands free kit and the companion phone (tri mode) and have it installed. You will love it. You tell it to "wake up" and then state who you want it to call from your memory of phone names/numbers.

I have the Nokia hands free kit and added a 3 watt booster to the external antenna. The reception is much better. I am in the Lake Tahoe area quite a bit and I do not drop calls anymore. The Nokia kit also comes with a privacy handset so you don't have to be on speaker phone all the time, in the event you need to make a private call and don't want the passenger to hear your conversation.

Yes Albie, that restaurant was established in 1953 and my parents bought it in 1968. Today I am the commander and chief. I put in long hours and sometimes don't see the wife and kids as often as I like, but business is good and if not for that place, I would not be driving a Hummer.
