What's up, all...I'm new to the forum. Got a little info on the manual transmissions. As of yesterday, the manuals are still on production constraint due to a "whining" sound while driving at low speeds in 3rd gear. This info came straight from HUMMER. As of now there's no time frame for production start up...not until they figure out whether there's a reason why the tranny's making that noise. Oh well...guess their QC is working. Too bad for me though, I've had mine on order since May 24th. Black Adventure package, manual. I'll hang myself the day I buy a 4x4 with anything other than a manual transmission...no matter how long I have to wait for the geniuses at Hummer to perfect their product. I'm a YOTA owner and will swear by them for their reliability. Hope I'm not dissappointed with a GM product. Anyway, this info I got was the 3rd different story I've received from 3 different "so called" experts at HUMMER and at the dealership. If anyone's got some solid info...PLEASE pass it on. Later

The Manual was removed from hold this week. They are restricting it to about 2% of build however.

Where did you here that, if you don't mind me asking. I'm chomping at the bit to get my H3. Isn't that transmission the same one they use in the Colorado?

I understand there are a couple of problems. The one I know is noise comming up through the shifter into the cab, a new shifter is on the way with sound deadner inside. Still trying to find out the other, but I believe it's a build issue.
