I have aan AVIC N1 Nav system.I have 2 problems.

1. The system sometimes shuts off while driving or doesn't turn on after you start the engine. To correct it I activate and de-activate the OnStar. Then the system magically turns on.

2. Like the stock system when exiting the vehicle the system stays on when you remove the key and shuts off when the door is opened, although when opening the door it shuts off, turns on then shuts off.

My installer has so far replaced the interface cable, still the same problem. Need Help!

I would guess its the pac onstar interface you are using on it. He might be using the wrong model for it. Whats the model and version of the one in you truck?
