it uses an FM modulator for a DVD player that transmits an FM signal, it doesn't sound very good and we want to replace it with an INLINE modulator that goes between the car antenna and the radio. 2 Questions: What type of antennna input does the 05 Nav radio have and Who sells quality FM modulators? I had an Alpine one for years that worked great with a cd changer.

Thanks

I have had about 7 different FM Modulators, and personally "quality FM modulator" is an oxymoron.

If you are going to the trouble to move the console/dash to get at the antenna, you would be miles ahead with something like the PAC AAI-GM24 Auxiliary Audio Input Convertor which allows you to use your steering buttons for Aux 1 and Aux 2 input. You might search Logjam Electronics. com or the PAC site for info on your 2005. If you do not have factory XM the '04 may work.
