A local radio shop finished the install of my eclipse avn2454 radio with dvd/nav. I can only watch a dvd when the parking brake is engaged. I understand this is for liability reasons and my installer will not bypass the setup. He did say that it was a wire ran to the parking brake and it can be rigged to work, but he will not do it. Can anyone help me with figuring out what I need to do to put in a toggle switch or something so my passenger can watch a moving while moving? Thx!!

take the wire that goes to the parking brake and wire it to a mini spst. single pole single throw toggle switch. wich has two blades on the back. run one wire to ground and attach the one that comes from the radio to the other side of the switch.now when you put a dvd in simply toggle the switch twice and it should play the dvd.
