Sensor for HAVAC probably.

h2co-pilot 01-16-2006 11:43 AM

It's the control nucleus for the whole engine. You didn't touch it did you?

Hummertech 01-16-2006 12:09 PM

It's a temperature sensor.

CO Hummer 01-16-2006 02:31 PM

It's the H spot.

Rotary Flyer 01-16-2006 02:42 PM

It looks like an inlet air temp sensor. I can't tell where it's at by the pic. Is it in the air inlet tract?

Ruh roh Rastro!

I though it might be a sensor but the more I looked at it the more it looked like a little lightbulb. It's in the left A/C vent in the center/top of the dash.

Whatever it is, it needs a bath. And if the truck starts to shudder while cleaning, I'll then know it's the H spot. (BTW, the truck does has a hymen and I have the picture to prove it.)

Frank -- You are correct! Best sunglasses in the house. They spank the Ray Bans on the beach.

HUMMER Tech says it's a temp sensor. You better put that truck back together before you find the "Black Box".

I was going to post to this last night saying it was the world's smallest light bulb but I thought that sounded stupid!

I personally think it's of the highest tech of GPS locators on earth and you're in deep doo doo!!

TootsSUT 01-16-2006 06:52 PM

Looking at it again, we're right. It's a light bulb. It's there so you can see to clean the dust off the light bulb.

NewHummerGuy 01-16-2006 07:02 PM

Ah ha! I just KNEW there was a black box/covert tracking/mind-reading module!

Not to worry, I'm prepared!

He was in the process of installing a CB antenna and had the dash center console out to run coax.

rodster 01-17-2006 05:35 PM

Ree is correct!

And why, my friend, was I installing a new CB antenna? Could it be because someone (I won't mention names) told me my el-cheapo magnetic base setup was crap?
