Has anyone ran any of the new swamper Iroks? I just ordered some 20x10 AR Mohave sim. Beadlocks and need some tires. 4wheelparts.com has them for $194 each, and I think thats a hell of a deal considering nittos are $650.
Any thoughts??? Thanks 03 Lux package All black, spare tire carrier, roof lights, and HD brush guard, soon on black 20x10 beadlocks and 36 Iroks |

I found this picture a while back. I think the 36" tire look small on a 20" rim.

I agree with you Phil----
Not a good combo--neither fish nor foul. For 20" rims, a 40" tire works well. For an 18" rim, you need 38's--can get away with 37's but they will just be OK. |

If I wanted 40's on 20's or 38's on 18's I would've asked about that. I plan on radials, so if anyone has any Experiences with these tires please reply. I'm not planning on any rock crawling, but do offroad a bit. How are they as far as loudness, ride quality, treadwear, etc.. |

kboring-
Simmer with the attitude. You did state at the end of your post "Any thoughts???" which could be misconstrued to imply you want someone's opinion of the setup you are thinking of going with. Additionally, you'll learn after posting here for a while that everyone has to throw in their two cents and often times thread get taken off in a million different tangents. Anyways, I can't give you personal experience with the irok radials(I am in the process of buying some but am waiting to see if I'm going to just give the H2 to the wife and buy an H1) however, you might want to consider pm'ing drtyfn or SunsetShannon. Both of them are running Irok Radials and might be able to offer you EXPERIENCES. And please, before you come back with some arrogant bull****, recognize the fact that I am only trying to help you out. |

I am running the 36x13.50x20 IROK RADIALS on my H2 and have the the following opinion:
1) They balance out very nice and offer a very smooth ride with only a small vibration at real low speeds (under 20 mph). 2) They handle great up until 50 mph... after that you really start to notice "wandering", especially on roads that are uneven. 3) They are pretty darn noisy. You have to talk loud at HWY speeds to carry a conversation. Make sure to have a nice stereo system! 4) Life expectancy is sure to be short. I only have a couple thousand miles on mine and I'm starting to notice some slight wear. 5) They look awesome (in my opinion). Will I buy another set when mine wear out? Probably not. I spend a lot of time in my vehicle and I miss a quiet ride. Good Luck!!! |
