Just a heads up to anyone installing Borla headers.
Had mine installed 10 days ago. When I picked it up, I popped the hood to admire ![]() 7 cylinder (driver's side, closest to fire wall) was VERY close to the header. Pointed it out to the service manager who talked to the installer and said it would not be a problem. Took a friend out to lunch today (showin off) and the thing was running like a pig - on 7 cylinders. Popped the hood, and sure enough, the #7 wire was touching the header and had burned through the insulation and was shorting. Hustle to the dealer (mileage is REALLY bad on 7 cylinders ![]() Bottom line is they replaced the wires with a different set which is slightly shorter and gives better clearance. Don't know if these are GM part numbers, but the work order says part # 88894394 and the description is "Wire Kit 2.239". Hope this helps someone avoid grief. |

I got the "nology" wires; bit expensive, but work great.
