I just got my new Ventshades and was wondering if there is any install advice or tips? I read that the rubber window surround needs to be removed, then stick the Ventshades in and reinstall the surround?

C5A4, You talking about the ventshades like I got?

I didn't have to remove anything to do the install, they go in between the window and surround. The 3M tape sticks to the surround on mine and they do suggest that you leave the windows up for something like 24 hours so the tape sticks well.

C5, Justin, the VentShades are great. Just one bit of advice:
When installing the front window shade, be sure to do them the same. On the forward, leading edge of the opening there is a plastic piece that curves with the door. Take care around that and do them both the same, either in or out. You will understand when you do it.

PS, they help keep mud out too. But they can obstruct your vision of if you are tall. I like it because people can't see me very well.

Yes those are the ventshades I got. Thanks for the tips.

Would it be nice if some-one could design phoney vents for the back side windows, so that vent "line" is estheticcaly continued to the back?
Just a thought.
