My truck is only like 6 months old and the seat are already wearing like hell. In some spots it looks as if it's about to crack. Anyone else with this issue?

My truck is only like 6 months old and the seat are already wearing like hell. In some spots it looks as if it's about to crack. Anyone else with this issue?

The seats "season with age" - use LEXOL leather preservative (once per month)- as this will keep the leather supple... Leather is natural - and it takes some TLC.

I'll give it a try. I've had my Vette for a few years and the only time the leather gets treated is when I take it in to get detailed once a year. I will do the same with my Hummer. I just can't believe I'm having these issues after a few months.

Do you have the ebony or the wheat leather?

I've only had mine a few days; but, the ebony leather seems to be good quality.
You want to see PITA leather, take look at my Ford King Ranch truck. It takes special conditioner and constant care.

Man that would suck. I just thought to myself that it was odd the truck seats were aging that fast. Oh well. I'm looking into seat covers anyways.

We had an 05 SUT with Ebony leather. It had about 9k and the drivers side leather was begining to wear. Creases were showing signs of the top color layer cracking and early stage of peeling.

Things like this, air the that didn't work properly even after service, terrible wind noise on the highway, creaks and rattles from almost every panel are not signs of a quality made $50,000 vehicle. Our dealer is 2hrs away and wasn't convienent to work with.

We expected more and with all the other home remedies for water leaks and other problems I've read about on here;I can only say others have a lot higher pain threshold then me.

She had to go and luckily with all the incentives at the time of purchase we only took half a beating!

PS In Hummer's defense I will say that they did a better job with the H3 we had previously. The fit and finish and all over assembly quality was high. The engine however is weak and did perform well in hilly or mountain locations. As someone said "Great off-road if your pointed down hill".

Maybe the next generation H2 will share some of build quality of the H3. The new Tahoe/Escalade appear to be brought to market alot stronger.
