Try an Actron scanner. You can get one for as little as $40.00 from Amazon of all places. That one will give you the code and allow you to erase. Others available to do in depth of all sensors, etc....

Try one from Actron. I just purchased one recently and it works well. You can get one that will read codes for as little as $58.00 If you want to actually scan all the parameters it will cost more,...

You aren't by chance trying to run E85 in it are you? That would definitely mess things up.

I purchased my side steps from the dealer after the sale. Instruction sheet says to torque all bolts to 30 ft. lbs. However, be very very careful with the U-bolts that hold the step to the bracket....
