Yea my brass bushing cracked apart real pia, but doesn't that tsb call for some pieces to be replaced to correct the problem

Not to go off topic but how exactly does the shaft go into the hinge? My tire carrier is so stiff I have to put some real muscle into it to get it to move either way.

let me rephrase it's not an aftermarket tire carrier but rather the dealer installed one, it was sold new with it in 2003

That's extremely cool, but this begs the question, have you cut open a side marker lamp and replaced those bulbs and resealed the lamp?

Also a new owner would easily be able to replace the part, all the OP is doing is altering the light on the actual item, he isn't altering the wiring.

Very nice, and yes the early chrome rims were extremely fail prone, the flaking chrome caused GM to replace a lot of them.

I used to have a tahoe that the seat heaters worked perfect in for everyone but my dad, everytime he would be in it, I'd notice the seat heater on and sure enough he had never turned it on, almost...

I don't understand when everyone says they are difficult to remove, I've removed mine on both sides twice before I just said screw it and rtv'd them.

To remove them I just unscrewed the 2 bolts...
