Thanks. I feel much more confidant now after doing more research!

I'll place the order next week and then post the results.

37x12.5x17 on stock rims

I know this has been asked, but the answers always left some doubt as to the setup so I'd like to get this clarified before I buy.

I have a 2003 H2 with original rims.

I'd like to install...

Re: H2 - Factory radio drawing excessive current

Hi.

Well, it's been a while since I last posted but I think I found the culprit. I simply unplugged the fuse to OnStar and have not had a dead battery since.

H2 Brake Squeek

I bought my H2 used in 2005, and the dealer told me he just put on new pads/rotors.

After owning the truck for 6 months the brakes began to squeel.

I took the truck back to the dealer and he...

Re: H2 - Factory radio drawing excessive current

Thanks. I figured as much.

I measured ~700mA with the radio fuses out, but I read that I should have waited for at least 4 hrs after removing the key before measuring the current because it takes...

H2 - Factory radio drawing excessive current

Hi.

I searched for a similar problem to mine, and found MANY, but no solutions. So I thought that if I provide more info then someone might have a better understanding.

My 2003 H2 battery dies...

Re: 2003 H2 - Key stuck in ignition - Require Shifter

Man.... I didn't need to see that! lol

I wish I was more mechanically inclined! I have the ambition, I just don't have the tools or a decent garage. I live in Ontario, Canada - and my garage is...

Re: 2003 H2 - Key stuck in ignition - Require Shifter

Thanks everyone for all the good advise.

I called the dealer and asked him to cancel the part order. This weekend when I have some time I'll take the shifter apart and give it a good inspection. I...

Re: 2003 H2 - Key stuck in ignition - Require Shifter

@Olfart - The dealer showed me how to manually depress the ignition lock solenoid, which is why I was wondering if I could simply hard wire this switch in the 'ON' position for a month or two, which...

Re: 2003 H2 - Key stuck in ignition - Require Shifter

Okay - I was going to try this - but I thought that I had to remove the entire centre console. I'll give it a try tomorrow.

Re: 2003 H2 - Key stuck in ignition - Require Shifter

I'm not a mechanic so I might have misunderstood. The Service Rep (not the mechanic) told me that my truck needed a shifter. He said that the shifter is not sending the signal to the ignition lock...

Re: 2003 H2 - Key stuck in ignition - Require Shifter

Well, the battery is only 4 months old (I replaced it because the old battery no longer held a charge). I replaced it at the dealer for the recommended one.

The truck started fine, and is charging...

2003 H2 - Key stuck in ignition - Require Shifter

Hi.

I just got back from the dealer and my 2003 Hummer requires a shifter. Earlier in the day I tired to remove the key from the ignition and it would not turn past ACC.

The shifter is going to...

Re: Battery problem

I think I may be limited in my choices of battery. Most stores here don't carry the type of battery the Hummer takes. The AC Delco battery has 880 Cold Cranking Amps - most after market batteries...
