Re: Dead battery, again ... locating parasitic draw

Unfortunately, no. It happens very rarely.

I have a suspicion that it's something whacked with the cigarette lighter in the center console. The past three times I've had a dead battery, I am...

Re: H2O Racks & Bumpers

You don't have to take them off. But Neil recommends it as he smashed at least one during an install and they're some $70 or so to replace.

I'm pretty sure Neil can send you some plates to bolt...

Re: CB help

I think a 3' antenna would be fine if you put it over the passenger DS-side window.

FWIW, I recently got a roof rack with a wind fairing and moved my 3' antenna back about 1 foot (still over...

Re: Can anyone 'splain how to measure "Arch"??

I wasn't advocating doing no math. I was really questioning if you had to remove it from the vehicle. I assume you measure the length along the spring from mount to mount (with a cloth tape) and...

Re: 2008 H2 - Official Pics & Video

That's the description I found too, but I was wondering what controls do you use to do the manual shifting. Is it something where you bump the gear selector right and left like in some sports cars? ...

Re: 2008 H2 - Official Pics & Video

I'm amazed you can definitively say it's an M, but then again, I don't think it could be anything other than H or R. What would H be? Wrong spot for Reverse.

Is it what GM calls the DSC (Driver...

Re: Can anyone 'splain how to measure "Arch"??

What needs to be measured? Can't you do it with a flexible tape while lying underneath the truck?

Re: 2008 H2 - Official Pics & Video

Yes!!! I'm not real comfortable on a side slope over 32 degrees. Knowing that the truck will be doing some mitigation on my behalf will make me feel better about pushing it into the 40 degree...

Re: Wowza! Former ambulance

I don't know if this info is still current, but this thread (http://www.hummernetworkforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=151951) seems to point out some of the issues. If it's heavy enough to be class 3,...

Re: How do I turn on the Driving Lights?

Sort of. Start it, put it in drive and make sure it's light out or you shine a light on the sensor.

Re: Tire Rotation Question / Dealer Rant

Typical. A while back I marked mine and asked the dealer to rotate when I had it in for other service. They did front to back only, no cross over.

I called and told them they did it wrong. The...

Re: How do I turn on the Driving Lights?

Not reading the manual.

But if you're a little handy and patient, you can make one[/quote]

Step 1 - First you'll need to make a mold of the sensor in the center of the dash. Putty or playdough...

Key Fob on the Fritz

My fob did seem to be working so well two weeks ago. Then a day or so later, it just stopped working. I put in a new battery and everything was okay...for a week and a half. Dead again....

Turboed bathrooms rock. I assume you mean one of those 0-100% flushed in .3 seconds thingies.

Re: Okay to use virgin spare?

Re: Okay to use virgin spare?

That's what I was thinking.

Well, I realized this after having the thing 20k miles and doing a few rotates. Rather than just add it in to the cycle because I was concerned about using an unmatched...

Re: Cordless Impact Wrench

I just picked up the Goodyear wrench at PepBoys. It's 24V and rated at 200ft/lbs. It's charging now so I don't know how much torque it'll do, but I will later.

One thing I wanted to note is that...

Re: Cordless Impact Wrench

I've got a 28V Milwaukee drill. It's very nice. It's a bit heavy, but it's just so powerful, runs a long time, and the clutch on it is sweet. So I'm sort of inclined to go with the or a Makita (I...
