Re: Brake rotor and pads time not sure what to get

Actually, having worked in a shop that did brakes, that does not suprise me at all. Brake life will vary with how and where you drive, but you will not find pads that will last as long, be as quiet,...

Simply, it changes the settings in the vehicle's computer. Exactly what it changes varies by the tuner, the vehicle, and what type...

Re: New owner with a problem

It could also be brake squeal. They may not be worn out, but sometimes it gets dry and dusty between the pad and the caliper if they weren't lubed well with the proper lube, and can squeal just...

Re: It's about time... well almost

I'll second that. I did mine with Duplicolor bedliner, and they are holding up great. Even after scraping trees.

Re: Bumperette DIY mod :)

I like it. You could call it a performance mod! It reduces wind resistance and improves MPGs!

Looks good.

Re: in cabin air filter?

I wonder if there is something wrong with your system? I have been in some pretty dusty conditions with mine, and I have never noticed any dust getting through into the cabin.

Not sure where the...

I really like the rear unit AC/Heater switch tags n the dash. Very clean and professional looking! NOT! When I see little things like that done in such a crappy manner, it makes me wonder...

Re: Looking to replace tires soon

If you are not going to be doing any off roading, but want to go with the Toyo MT, I would really recomend having them siped. It will greatly improve traction on snow/ice/wet roads, and also help...

Re: Plugged holes and rusting on tire carrier

Hmmmm. I'm gonna have to go look at mine now. I would not like knowing that the rust is still eating away on the inside, but there is not much you can do about that.

Re: Check this out... best gas mileage I've seen yet...

Very nice! But, if you have not set the tire size, then you are actually getting a little better than what it is showing you, because you are really driving further than the truck thinks you...

Re: Cognito UCA dilema..

Are you sure it is not a tire? ires can have what is called a radial pull. It has to do with the the belts in the tire causing a "walking" motion as the tire rolls. It does not happen a lot, but...

Re: Cold Air Kit - Introduction

First, welcome and congratulations!

Second, yes, the type with the "open" filter, not in an enclosure, will make more "air sucking" noise. The kind that use the enclosed box will be quieter.

Now,...

Re: went offroading - did some damage to my front differential

:iagree: Your front diff is turning all the time, no matter what. If it goes fine in Lo-loc and Hi-loc, then it is in your transfer case for sure.

Hope it isn't too expensive! Make sure you...

Re: Battery not charging in Dash!

Re: Battery not charging in Dash!

Re: Battery not charging in Dash!

If the alternator is bad it will still start and run as long as the battery has enough power to do so. But, without the alternator, the batter is like a fule tank, and will run out of power. Then...
