Re: FS: Chrome H2 Hood Handles

This would be an easy solution if you had some plastic lying around to fit nicely. Or if you have a belt sander and a lot of paitence, you might try shaving down the back side of the front pad. I...

Re: FS: Chrome H2 Hood Handles

There was a small gap underneath the front of the handles, but a little extra torque on the nut took care of it almost completely.

FS: Chrome H2 Hood Handles

I have 2 pairs of OE H2 chrome hood handles in mint condition for sale. Never been installed.

To mount them to the H3 only requires poping off the plastic and drilling 4 small holes for the studs of...

Re: Regular H3 to ADV, worth doing?

Add the 33s and some protection then go wheeling. Most Adventure model owners change tires and add protection anyway, so you're not too far behind at all. You can always add a locker later, if you...

Re: When are the 2008 H2's gonna hit the dealerships??

Black and White are staying of course, along with the All-terrain Blue (dark blue) too.

Slate Blue is going to be called Stealth Grey, it looks like exactly the same color when parked next to a...

Re: When are the 2008 H2's gonna hit the dealerships??

The switch to 2008 production won't happen until at least the 2nd week of July. Some retooling has to take place first.

If you see a new H2 with silver bumpers and new style rims, that's the 2008...

Re: Michigan city IN.

How close are you looking for? I live in Niles, MI and other than Sodbusters in South Bend, IN the only places I know of to go are a few hours drive away. The Badlands is fun and challenging, and...

Re: '07 H3; Aftermarket radio installation

Yes, you'll need to get a module of your choice to keep things like warning chimes, door chimes, and onstar.

With a double din unit, you may want to look into making a bracket using the system that...

Re: Can a locker be put in the non-adv H3?

A locker either replaces the entire carrier in axle or, if it's case of an open differential, it can replace just the spider gears. Adding a locker of either type increases the stress put on the...

Re: Loving the SNOW!

We've been getting lots of snow here in my neck of the woods in the past few weeks. My driveway has piles of snow much larger than my H3. But I wouldn't even plow at all if it weren't for the fact...

Re: Trouble airing back up? TPMS info inside!

I thought about on-board air, but decided this was better for me and thought I'd share what I found with anyone else looking for an easy solution.

All the places I've ever wheeled have had free or...

Trouble airing back up? TPMS info inside!

On my first trip offroad with the H3 I had a problem bringing the tires back up to the proper pressure for the drive home. It's because the TPMS valve stem is so short, that the average gas station...

Re: V8 H3 Alpha

http://www.gmhummer.com/timeline/2007/2007h3.htm

A number of sites say the 3.7L peaks at 4600rpm. A more thorough search than trying to remember off the top of my head returns the 2800rpm...

Re: H3 Leasing question

At the end of any lease you have the option to buy the vehicle for a price agreed upon when you sign the lease in the beginning. My 27 month 10,000miles a year lease has me paying for 70% of the...

Re: V8 H3 Alpha

It's because of the difference in torque curves.

The H3 peak torque is at around 4000rpm I believe. My old truck has just 210hp, but is much stronger than the 3.7L H3 off the line because its peak...

Re: V8 H3 Alpha

What's wrong with the H3 drivetrain behind a V8? The rear axle is just a narrowed version of the 1/2ton pickup 10 bolt. The 4L60E trans. is what goes in the same trucks behind many 5.3L and 5.L7 V8s...

Re: New 2008 interior?

Yes, same 6 speed auto-tranny and 6.2L 403hp V8 found in the 2007 Cadillac trucks. The new shifter selections say "P R N D M 2 1" No more detents than before, but I have no idea what "M" is supposed...

Re: '07 H3; Aftermarket radio installation

My stock stereo was the non-bose system, so the only stock amp for me was inside the stock headunit. My door speakers are currently powered by the amp in the aftermarket headunit through the factory...

Re: Installing new door speakers.....

How are you going to mount them? I tried popping in some 6.5" components I had laying around but I think some sort of adapting plate is needed to fasten and seal them to the door. I tried just...

Re: first tank of gas on '07 h3 with auto

Re: H3 Snorkel?

That looks great! It needs to be on the other side though like was said.

I've seen guys run their breather tubes into the snorkle. That way the tranny, axles, t-case, ect all get fresh air just like...
