Re: OnStar Backup Battery 2004 H2

I'm pretty sure your h2 doesn't even have a backup battery. Take it to the dealership to have the code scanned.

Re: need help with climate control on H2

To save yourself some money, I would just have them replace the mode actuator and not the inlet actuator. The inlet actuator will just cause the recirculate to not work. That is the one that the dash...

Re: Trailer Electrical gremlin

The LTTRLR and RTTRLR fuses are in the IP fuse block on the left side of the dash.

Re: Recall - Heated Windshield Washer Fluid

The vehicle's harness doesn't even get cut. It's the wires that are part of the heater. There is no "major surgery" the wires are just cut and taped so the connector isn't left unplugged to get...

Re: Am I Too Paranoid?

You're not too paranoid. You're smart. A lot of aftermarket people don't correctly connect aftermarket stuff and you could be left with a rat's nest of wiring that kills batteries.

Re: Single Stage Air Compressor to Dual Stage

The only line you really need is the inlet line. It has two inlets instead of one on the old system since it has two compressors. You just remove the old inlet
line and put the new one in it's place.

Re: Exhaust Headers & Catylatic Converter

I'd be warry about the rear exhaust manifold to head bolt breaking off in the cylinder head. It may already be broken. You can reach back behind the heat shield and feel for it to see if it is. It's...

Re: Hummer Computer

Sounds like the computer wasn't really flashed back to stock. I've flashed it back to stock before and then used a programmer and it worked fine.

Re: WIll running boards from a H3 fit on an H3T

Re: Keyless Entry

Actually the H2's use the passenger door module as the keyless entry reciever. What problem are you having?

Re: Trouble filling H3 gas tank.

It may be your evap vent valve is glogged. Do either of you live on a gravel road by any chance? That gravel dust will clog a vent valve after time.

Re: which one?

If you have air suspension, be careful with the Magnaflow. I installed a dual tip system and it came so close to the right air spring, it melted a hole in it. I had to make a heat shield to go around...

42K and you changed the pads? Why? These pads go to around 100K.

Re: H3 Towing & trans cooling

H3's have only the typical trans cooler in the radiator. You can always add an aftermarket one if you want. The 5 cylinder may have to work pretty hard to tow something that heavy though. They're not...

Re: Air Suspension has to go...

Fabtech has their own springs that are longer and lift the vehicle up. You just have to take off the spacers and put in an insulator on the bottom spring perch.

Re: HVAC HELP !! any techs on this forum??

Maybee there is a different program in the new control head. The dealer could check to see if there is an updated program of codes in the controler. I don't think I would go in with an attitude...

Re: Diff leakage :(

Exactly. It's a terrible idea and you would be rebuilding your t-case very soon.

Re: Diff leakage :(

If you have the ability, take it out and reseal the case halves. We do it all of the time on these older h2's. Use anerobic sealer, not silicone. Replace both axle seals while you have it out. Should...

Re: showing a DTC P0446

If there is a lot of snow where you are from, the vent solenoid could also be clogged with snow under the driver's rocker panel.

Re: H3 engine turns but won't start.

The remote start is most likely at fault here. There is a bypass module for the remote start system that is not "tricking" the anti-theft propperly. I would have them remove the remote start and ask...

Re: Help on Navigation radio installation

Two things:

1) I don't think it's possible since the radio will be locked when you put it into another vehicle. The methods for unlocking an H2 radio and an H3 radio are totally different and I...

Re: Calibrating Air Suspension....

Just use a jack or something to put the suspension at the ride height you want and hit the button on the techII. The ride height sensors do need to be around 2.5V though.

Re: Magic bullet

Looking at their claims, I would stay away. They obviously know nothing about a pcm tune. I tune for a living and have never gotten 50+ hp from a stock truck motor. Let alone, they are claiming that...
