Re: Having an issue removing my spare tire carrier??

I used the wood to get the lift point right next to the cylinder so it wouldn't bind. I just greased it about a month back and there was grease oozing from the set screw hole after I removed it. From...

Having an issue removing my spare tire carrier??

My spare tire carrier has a few spots where the powder coating has chipped and some rust has started. My plan is to have the carried freshly powder coated. I attempted to remove the arm that swings...

Re: Tires rub - Help

Unless you are lifted, you are definitely going to have rub issues with a 38" tall tire..... that is also pretty wide so that is going to be another issue to contend with.

Re: Upgrade to a 2008 or 2009 H2?

Pretty much echo the others here..... I went from a 2006 to a 2008. I personally like everything better about the 08, only thing I miss from my 2006 was the captain style front seats with the fold...

Re: Wheel fitment/offset question (XD Rockstar wheels)

Hellz.... I know you probably can't say for sure but in your opinion do you think you would have been clear if you were on a 35" vs. 37"? Keep in mind that I don't have my truck leveled. Thanks!!

Re: Problem with Rockford fosgate audio kit

Can you verify you are getting power at the unit via a test light or volt meter? Is your ground good? You may need to scrape the paint if you grounded at a painted metal surface. I know this setup...

Re: New Tahoe vs '08 H2

I had a 2012 Suburban the last time my H2 was in for dealer service/warranty, I averaged right at 17mpgs with combined driving for the few days I had it.

Re: Lights dim when electrics used.

As the others mentioned... it sounds like the culprit is likely the altenator, have it tested.

Re: 2006 Limited Edition Side Step Question

Im the exact opposite.... while the nerf bars offer more convenience due to the mounting location I think they look like an "add on" and greatly reduce clearance. I added LE steps on my 2008. I had...

Re: How long you plan to keep your HUM

I bought a GMPP for mine back in June that is good for 3 years so I will likely keep it another 2 years so I can sell it with a little warranty left. Would absolutely love it if GM would come out...

Re: 6.2L & 6l80 Power Uprades

Stock GM tuning leaves quite a bit on the table, I would love to tune my truck but I have a GMPP major guard for another 2.5 years that I don't want to be voided. Check out Nelson performance, highly...

Re: Well, I guess he's going to be a goner...

Spoke with a GM factory truck rep at the Chicago auto show about this exact same thing. If GM were to make a 3/4 ton DMax burban I would be all over it. The issue is with fitting the Allison...

Re: LS6 or LS7 cam?

Keep in mind that LS6 (and LS7) cam was designed for a lightweight car... (my LS6 Z06 weighs under 3100lbs). While you may pick up power on the top end I would be leary of losing any low end grunt in...

Re: tow rigs

That trans is a weak link (the weakest in the entire drive line). With that being said you can do some things to beef it up. That is a long trailer to be towing with such a short wheelbase truck........

Re: Regearing?

If you struggling with the idea of 4.10 vs. 4.56 then I would suggest using the calculator to see what your highway cruising RPM's will be, if you will be fine with the 4.56's then I would go that...
