Re: 365,000 mile H2

The H2 is a solid machine. 65000 miles and zero issues. Keeping the beast forever, if something breaks it will just be an excuse for upgraded parts.

Re: Are wheel adapters/ spacers safe?

I've ran spacers on my H2, Dodge diesel, and TJ wangler specifically built for rock crawling for over a decade with no issues. The spacers will make hubs wear faster, but are generally stronger than...

Re: What is your "Dream Exhaust System". (Poll)

Dynatech Long Tube Headers, straight pipe all the way back. Not really that loud IMO and even the wifey believes it fits the Hummer personality better. :beerchug:

Re: Best gears and cheapest place??

IMO 4.88's is at minimim the way to go. One of the best upgrades I've done by far. Add an Eaton E-locker up front while your diffs are open and make sure the shop wires it so the front only engages...

Re: Is this unreasonable, or am I just being whiny?

I'd be pissed as hell. That's really ridiculous. Gears and brakes should take a day. Lift kit and shocks 2-3 days tops. Wheels and tires, side steps, and exhaust should be about an hour each. If it...

Re: Tuner and PCM

Just as a precaution I would hook up a battery charger while flashing your ECU. If the volts drop the tuner won't speak properly to the ECU which can cause all sorts of problems. :beerchug:

Re: Cats are the question

If you want to remove your post secondary cats utilize spark plug antifoulers to fool the ECU, weld in some straight pipe and call it a day. I believe the diameter is 2.25" for the stock exhaust. I...

Re: playing with the thermostat

Re: playing with the thermostat

I've been utilizing a 160 thermonstat in my ZO6 and H2 for seven years now. I have seen improvements in mpg and engine temps with daily driving and most noticeably while towing my boat. Spoke with...

Re: Best mods for money and performance

Gears followed by a supercharger down the road. The rest of the bolt-ons are minimal gains for the money. The H2 should've came with 4.88's from the factory IMO. :beerchug:

Re: 37" Tires

You should be fine. For clearance peace of mind you could snag green keys for cheap, and if you have coils utilize a 1" to 2" spacer in the rear and call it a day. I run 36.8x13.50 Iroks on stock...

Re: Road Rhino Bumper, Rubber Duck Brush Guard, E&G Wide Flairs

I believe you can choose to weld the bumpers yourself for a slightly discounted price. As I want to add a 2" body lift that should make it easier to get things looking sharp.

Re: Method Race Wheels and Toyos!

IMO the beadlock bolts need to be black along with your future brushguard. Keep it clean and leave the pin stripping off as well. :beerchug:

Re: Road Rhino Bumper, Rubber Duck Brush Guard, E&G Wide Flairs

I dig it. I've been curious how this combo would look. Looks mean as hell. :beerchug:

Re: Gas milage help!!!

Anti foulers. Programming your ECU and sims would be next step of course if for some reason the anti foulers don't work. But at $10 it's worth trying the anti foulers first. I have been utlizing them...

Re: mud grapplers or toyo mts.

I have been running Toyo MT 37x13.50R20's on my Diesel Truck and I can attest they are awesome tires. I have around 45k of wear on them and they have a ton of wear left. Overall traction is decent...

Re: Ordering 12 inch lift, what tire/wheel combo?

If you're going to stay with a 20" Wheel, the tire that would look amazing IMO would be the Pit Bull Rocker 44x19.50 R20. I also love Iroks, but the Rockers will give you some width to the stance....

Re: best tire out there?

I run 36x13.50 R17 Iroks. Awesome tire. Great traction anywhere on anything, and by utilizing dynabeads, rotating them every 3000k miles, and keeping them at 45psi, they don't wear as bad as one...

Re: Regearing?

I absolutely recommend 4.88's if you're going to spend the money for new ring and pinions. Throttle response will be dramatically better and if you choose to run 40's down the road or tow, you'll...

Re: Straight piped?

6.0L with Dynatech long tube headers, no cats, no muffler. To say it's aggressive would be an understatement. Absolutely love the sound. :beerchug:
