Re: Ultimate iPod adaptor and 10Min install

We just installed a couple of these today @ local chevy dealer and they do work well. If you don't have xm, the readio will need to come out to access that plug. No video output on this unit.

Definitely go with the Viz. They have the best fit/finish out there and very good quality. If you can cut monitors into those headrests and make them look as good as the Viz, please send me your...

Re: Battery vs Stereo

I have always proceeded on the 25ma or less draw to be safe. Believe it or not, the newer bcms are trickier than the old ones as any micro draw can keep them awake and kill the battery fast (learned...

Rocketw19, your hearests should not draw more than about 10ma when off (that would take about a month to drain the battery).

Re: hard drive gb

Eclipse AVN5495 has much better sound and mapping, and the Z1 has better interfaces (xm, bluetooth, ipod etc). The Eclipse will cost more as well.

Re: '07 H3; Aftermarket radio installation

Soundgate digistar works well in that rig, and it is all in one piece (no separate chime module).

Re: How do you remove front seat headrests?

You need to lift up on the headrest while sticking a tool or a paper clip in the release holes on the side of the plastic guides that the posts go into.

Re: Bad radio reception DVD related?

glassman66,
If they installed an fm modulator in your system, you will definitely need to turn that off when listening to other stations--fm or am as both can be affected when the modulator is on.
