Re: Crawl Ratio??

There are advantages to both: Manual vs Auto.

I have run both in competive (UROC Rockcrawling competitions) environments.

The biggest advantage, IMO, is down hill engine braking. A super low...

Re: E-Locker in high range

Back on topic - The only way you'll get the Elocker in hi-range is to wire in a over-ride switch to keep it engaged, when YOU want it engaged. I'm not a fan of this disengage are 15-20mph stuff...

Re: H3 tie rods do break

[/smartassansweron]he was 4wheeling, want to avoid it, don't wheel.[/smartassansweroff]

Seriously, if you wheel, you will eventually break something and the tierods really look like the weak point...

Re: H3 Superchargers - any news?

Maybe...if you do a lot of the work yourself, but you wouldn't get the 3yr/36k mile warranty they are offering too...

Lets see, used 5.3L from the yard... $1200-$1500, maybe as much as 2k.
Lots of...

Re: Line-X for hood plate

The more I see your grill, the more I like it. I think the hood piece is more or less a wash.... its already black, so your just adding some texture. Its more of a "black bling" factor and your...

Re: diesel swap

They are selling. Jeep isn't pushing them all that hard, as its an consumer educational issue. Its a small diesel that has pretty decent numbers. Ford talked about a V6 diesel in their half ton...

Re: Opinions on Differential Trusses???

A truss like that won't work on the front diff because its IFS. Something like the rockring from PSC show in red above could be made for the H3, but I'd question whether or not it would really help...

Re: Rock rails from a jeep on a H3

Don't any of you guys have acces to a chop saw, welder and some steel? The square tube sliderz would be EASY to build and pretty dang cheap too if you already have the tools.

1" tubing? That seems awful small. I have stick of 1.5" tube in the garage now that I'd consider the minimum diameter I'd use to make any rocker protection.

On that subject I was at the deal the...

Re: Anyone else break their transfer case?

Is your H3 a daily driver or your toy? If a toy, WTH, why not consider a straight axle swap and get rid of the IFS altogether in the front? :D Someone has to be first. :D Though the can of worms...

Re: Anyone else break their transfer case?

The problem with a D60 on the H3 is the front... The front is IFS so a D60 from someone like WCD would probably want to be a full straight axle swap... not sure it you would want to get into...
