I took apart the door panels to continue with my conversion to led not as simple as I thought. The voltage to the bulbs is not 12 v in fact some are 3v some closer to 7v . The types of LEDs also vary...

On the 4x4 control I didn't remove the circuit board from the housing, I snipped off the bulbs and soldered the new bulbs on the exposed side of the board.

I guess I don't notice the traction/trailer switches any different as I'm using blue LEDs, they may not be quite as bright if I look closely.

Good to know, Would it be maybe safer to remove the panels perhaps.
Do you find the steering wheel controls bright? Did you trim the blue rubber cover around the bulbs

Thanks for the great tips, much appreciated. I assume the door panels req removing to remove the switches as well? What colour bulbs did you install?

I recently changed my dash over to led, and yes the oem bulbs are not led. I used 3mm bulbs for my climate control and all the switches and 5mm for the Guage cluster.

I found the problem. It wasn't a broken wire but connectors that were opened up on the solenoid harness and not making connection on the pins at
times.movement of the shifter back and forth pulls on...

Does anyone know how to diagnose if the the solenoid is energized and not working. A diagnostic chart on how to test at the harness on the shift lock assy is what I'm looking for.

I am trying to decide between 38s on 17s or 18s on my H2 with a Fabtech 6" lift, I was going with 37''tires but I have decided on MTZ 38s, hopefully with no rubbing issues? any info would help

I removed my front crossmember with the rear diff mount and noticed with the diff hanging on the front mount that there was a lot of play, should there be a significant amount of play at the front...

The front suspension,torsion bars rear support bracket bushings, I need the bushings replaced however the support brackets which these reside in are welded to the frame? Gm explains they cant be...

I have eliminated several front end noises, one yet to find, is it possible the rear diff mount could be loose? has anyone had this happen, what is the torque rate for this bolt?.

torque rate for body mounts??

Anyone have the torque rate for the body mounts, just changed mine, they were rotted out. This resulted in a intermittent knocking noise while turning, accelerating and up on braking.

Help with installing power steering pump

anyone have a step by step on installing a new pump assy, torque rates etc. shall I replace the whole unit with the resevior or just the pump? I am experiencing a high pitch sqeel and intermittent...
