Re: Probably not a good question here...

THX HummerBob for your reply.

How long did the installation take and what was the cost? I also will have it installed at a shop locally. I think the job will be too complicated for an amateur.

Probably not a good question here...

.... but has anyone installed a Eibach or Ground Force lowering kit on a 03 with air rear suspension? IF so, what is your experience like? how was the installation and ride quality?

Re: Smoked Lamps finally available!!!

Will these LEDs mess with my signals' blinker and my cruise control? LEDs are known to do that.

Re: 2006 H2 SUT w/ Y91-Want to install nav

My advice: Don't. Put in an aftermarket unit instead. The factory units are junk. I installed a Pinoeer AVIC D3 with backup camera and iPod control and could not be happier with it.

Re: Another NAV question

Hey Las Vegas

How did the AVIC-D3 installation go? I am doing the install myself. I am curious - where did your installer connect the speed sensor wire? There are 3 possible places that I...

Re: 03 H2 VSS Vehicle Speed Sensor wire

Thanks, I saw that last night. i have 2 plugs going into my factory radio. The 24 pin is almost fully populated but the 12 pin plug has only 2 wire going into it. It definitely doesn't have a...

Re: 03 H2 VSS Vehicle Speed Sensor wire

I am installing a AVIC-D3 Navi. Those I mentioned are the 3 places that it can be found. I want to try #3 but want to be 100% sure before tapping it.

BTW, do you also own a 930? I have an 88...

03 H2 VSS Vehicle Speed Sensor wire

I give up. Where is this wire?

From my research on this and other forums, the VSS can be found in 3 possible places.

1. Pin 50 on the PCM (Powertrain Control Module) is under the hood on the...

The link on the FAQ page doesn't work. Can someone help? I am trying to locate the Vehicle speed sensor (VSS) wire in my 2003 H2.

I know there is access behind the dash somewhere and I want...

Re: Trans slips when it goes to 3rd

Good job! That's the reason I like this owners forum. Thanks for the heads-up. Excellent info.

With that said, the indicator of an expensive tranny repair is the strawberry milk shake in the...

For the 2003 model, without extended is 36K miles or 3 years.

2 things might have gone wrong in your rig. Both failed in my 2003 (gen 1 H2 w/ 50K miles).

1. Your tranny needs to be rebuilt. AAMCO...

Hey Michael,

Nice install job. I also have HID's on the headlights. I also mounted the ballasts the same way you did. The only difference is probably my reflectors. I bought a kit that only...

Cut off a Prius today

I am starting to notice these drivers are all alike. They are usually men that look like women and women that look like men.

Prius drivers = hermaphrodites ?

Re: H2 idler and pitman arms replacement

These arms are part of the wear and tear. In my opinion, it would be tough to get them to pay for it. They are probably still good after only 32K miles. I think adding the Cognito kit will prolong...

What's this "thing" right next to your H2 emblem on your driver door?

Do you have an after market tranny cooler?

Re: H2 idler and pitman arms replacement

I don't think larger tires will result in premature wear. They will change your odometer readout though. You should rotate your wheels with oil changes and check your alignment on a regular...

Re: The aging H2

My local transmission shop fixed mine and put in heavier duty parts. The head mechanic said the stock parts are made only for an 03 Escalade-like SUV.

Re: H2 idler and pitman arms replacement

Hey Doc,

Nope, they are not matched. These are prices from their computer database. Also, you may want to check ebaY. They have the MOOG units from even less. --THX, Guzzler

Re: The aging H2

True. If both time and money aren't important to you, then spending the extra $4000 to $7000 on the tranny problem and a week of not having your H2 would be nothing.

However, if they are, then by...
