I've a black H3 and I think that black is the color you notice any "disturbances" in the paint easiest. And yea... I think that the paint quality is slightly below the standard. But below the German standard... I had a Grand Cherorkee in 2001 which didn't have a high quality paint job neither... so I got used to it.

On a Mercedes Benz (unless it was manufactured in the US like my former ML320), a BMW or a Porsche I wouldn't accept the paint quality...

This was not meant as an offense, but a plain realization. For some reason US car manufactureres seem to not pay that much attention to paint job quality as European car manufacturers do. I am not saying that it is "totally unacceptable"... but it simply doesn't seem that clean as German cars do... again... didn't mean to offend anyone... (I am well aware of the fact that this is a somewhat "hot" topic). Just wanted to ad my 2 cents.
