Hey Saleen,

In my opinion, the oil change is a very simple task. And, the chassis lube is also very simple with the exception of getting to the upper Idler arm lube point.. all others are very accesible.

Never heard of issues with the Mobil_One oil filter.. Usually they are designed to withstand exposure to the oil for longer periods (due to the oil being able to go longer between changes) without breaking down.. I doubt the GM filter is at the same standard.

I say go for it and save your $$$.. besides, it will get you more exposure to the inner workings of your rig and that is always a positive.
